I'm nearing the end of the Deathly Hallows and I'm feeling so dejected over Remus and Tonks. :( I dreaded reading about their death the most after hearing from many different sources of spoilers. Fred's was also unexpectedly quick. I thought Dobby's life ended with dignity as well - when you think about the characters that have been around since the first couple of books. Mad-Eye Moody and Hedwig's deaths were a shocker; I didn't expect them to die so quickly at the beginning, especially Mad-Eye, who's always seemed like pretty much of a bamf.
On a brighter note:
1. Molly Weasley being a badass ("Not my daughter, you bitch!") and slaughtering Bellatrix
2. Professor Trelawney dropping crystal balls on Fenrir Greyback's head
3. Hagrid not even bothering with magic and throwing Death Eaters across the hall
4. Neville chopping off Nagini's head
5. The manner in which Snape met Lily as a child - I now finally understand what readers meant when they said, "JK Rowling told a better love story in one chapter than Stephanie Meyer did in 4 books."
6. "Snape's patronus was a doe, the same as my mother's because he loved her for nearly all of his life, from the time when they were children." /brb crying
